There’s been a lot happening ‘round these parts lately. And, quite frankly, we’re so excited you could say we’re practically … buzzing.
Without further ado (How do you really know when you’ve had enough ado? Is there a unit of measure?), let’s get right down to it.
THERE’S A NEW GEEKY IN TOWN.
We are thrilled. Wait. Maybe “thrilled” isn’t strong enough. Hyped? Amped? Stoked? Super-duper excited? No. Thrilled. We’re definitely thrilled. Where were we?
Oh, right! THRILLED! And we are. And with good reason.
MELISSA CASE HAS JOINED THE GEEKY GIRLS.
Melissa has been around real estate and tech since (I was just about to say “since God was a boy,” but she kicked me) … for a long time. She’s written just about everything you can think of for just about everyone you can think of. Blog posts and email campaigns and web site copy (OH MY!) She’s got nearly two decades of experience in writing, SEO, and digital marketing, the last 6 of which were spent wielding The Red Pen at her firm, Honeybee Consulting.
“I am just happier than a woodpecker in a lumber yard,” professed Geeky Girls’ leader Laurie Davis**. “Melissa and I have worked together lots in the past and always had a great time; I’m really excited about the things we’ve got planned!”
WE’RE HITTING THE GROUND RUNNING.
Melissa is headed to Denver at the end of April to appear at Live Urban Denver’s REAL HUSTLE event, then Team Geeky will be meeting with the Women’s Council of REALTORS® in Washington, DC, just ahead of the National Association of REALTORS® Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo. And after that? There’s lots more in store (you’ll just have to wait and see!)
When The Geeky Girls aren’t out teaching folks about the latest and greatest in tech, they’ll be right here, writing about what’s new, what’s coming down the pike, and what changes are in store with your favorite gadgets, websites, and social platforms (we’ve also got some fun surprises up our geeky sleeves, but you’ll just have to wait for those!)
There’s a strong possibility that there will be some serious lessons in comma and apostrophe usage, too.
“Melissa is a natural fit for The Geeky Girls,” Laurie said. “She’s funny, she loves to write, and she’s nuts about tech. She is, in short, a geek.”
